Another first!

What a beautiful wedding that was, just perfect in every way, I am not ashamed to admit it made me cry.
Late in the afternoon I went for a trip to the downs to look for butterflies, but instead I found this! A Common Clubtail dragonfly Gomphus vulgatissimus - a HUGE tick for me as I have never seen one before.
The Common Clubtail is anything but common, and is listed at 'threatened' and is a Red Data Book species, found on only a tiny handful of rivers in England.
It is easily identified by the club shaped abdomen with a distinct bump at the bottom, and by the fact the eyes are separate and don't touch at all in any place.
Needless to say I am ecstatic! even more so as I managed quite a few shots before it sped off back to the tree tops!
