Loch Ness

We love Loch Ness. It's magical.

Lunch at The Clansman Hotel followed by a most memorable boat trip on the Loch. We boarded the boat under the most blue calm skies. Two minutes later we were being smashed in the face by ice and biting winds. It was so bad it was funny.

Urquhart Castle was stunning was as stunning as ever.

Drove up to Neptunes Staircase for a look around the shops and then onto a farm area at the end of the Loch. So still and perfect with little lambs skitting about.

The scenery on the other side of the Loch opens up into the most breathtaking landscape, we had to stop in a layby to take it all in.

Took the quiet, single track route back to Inverness.

Today was one of the best days of the whole holiday.
