Ascension day is a national holiday here in NL. Always a small treat in the middle of a work week and this year in fact it cuts my first work week short. We took it easy and went out for a walk at a local lake. Those Dutch with their love for biking..even on the lake! Summer hid itself again, so it was a hot chocolate and apple pie day. Lovely!
