Baby Lapwing....

Heard the mother's call change , so knew she had a chick, but this is the first time I've seen it! She was closely guarding it as it fed. There were another two in the field with chicks, so good news.
The extra is in because I was so surprised to see a pair of Golden Plovers in a field! I usually have to go high to see them nesting as they are mountain birds here!
