National Memorial Arboretum

Yesterday a new memorial was dedicated, “Still Waters 2017” by Alison Wilding and Adam Kershaw. It is a place to remember those who have been killed by terrorism overseas. It’s hidden in a deserted glade, well off the beaten track, and is not easy to find.

It has such a serene beauty and, because it’s so quiet, the bunnies continue to nibble in confidence. For my extra, I was so close to this youngster.

The ceremony yesterday was attended by lots of political figures, David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson and many more.

Apparently Boris arrived in his helicopter and landed in the grounds of All Saints Primary Scool in Alrewas. He shook a few children’s hands and one youngster was overheard asking his teacher, “Is that our Donald Trump?”. Certainly food for thought.
