Eternally late
Got very lost this week on Blip.
Didn't get around to checking my mobile much today and missed this which came in from J and Laura who had been in Rome for a long weekend.
J who is in the house restoration business tells me it was a business trip looking for potential new customers. He seems to have found some potential sites but I wonder if UK firms will be allowed to bid for EU contracts post Brexit.
I ought to try and find out what is happening with Nuremberg's local rail service which was put up for bids in 2017 and was won by a UK company.
Also heard today about a small UK firm that has standards and morals it sticks to. Despite the almost unique opportunity to probably make excellent money and prestige, they turned down a contract as it could possibly negatively effect their current customer base. They put long term goals before a quick buck. Well done them, nothing something one hears about too often.
Thanks J&L for the photos. Got me out of a bind .... again.
