Monarch number 1

This year we have been lucky enough to have two generations of monarchs visit our swan plants. The first gen we had 7 caterpillars (two of which successfully turned into butterflies) and the second gen we had 8 caterpillars, 8 chrysalis’ and so far we’ve had two butterflies emerge. This was the first, she spent three nights in the rain and is still doing okay, since taking this pic I witnessed her fly away! We were sure she wasn’t going to make it.
