STRAWBERRIES

Made a slow start as I had nothing on the calendar for today.    Got up a couple of times during the morning but went back to bed.  Finally surfaced around 1pm.

Checked my phone to find there was a message from Yodel saying they had delivered my parcel at 12.15pm.  Well no-one had knocked on my door, there was no card through the door, there was no parcel on my doorstep or driveway and nothing had been put in the garage,  So where was my parcel ???. I went on the Yodel website for a " Webchat ".  They are going to have an " end of the day " interview with the driver to find out whats gone on and I should hear within 24 hrs.   I wasn't actually expecting the parcel till Monday so I think there has been a mix up and there wasn't a parcel today at all - but we will see.  Yodel strikes again.!

After doing a few household chores I walked down to the village.  Didn't really want any shopping but I needed to get some steps under my belt.  The weather was Ok but after a warm day it was starting to get cooler.

When I got back into my street I spotted my next door neighbour Ed.  On 4th May he had knee replacement surgery.  It was a complicated procedure apparently as he needed a bone graft and something to do  with his cartilage was involved as well as skin grafts. So when I saw him last Wednesday he was in a wheelchair.  Today .... he was riding his bike!.  I asked him if the doc had told him this was OK.  He shook his head, shrugged his shoulders and said " Nah". " But I'm bored sitting around doing nothing".  I hope he doesn't hinder his recovery by doing too much too soon.

The theme for Abstract Thursday is " Distortion".  So I took a shot of some strawberries through the bottom of a clear glass vase.  Thanks as usual to Ingeborg for hosting the challenge.
