Top Pressure

Handy little gadget this, a portable air pump which means I can ensure my car tyres are at the right pressure, and keep them there.

A friend introduced it when I unexpectedly suffered a series of tyres losing pressure. Not that there was any problem about checking my tyres at the filling station — if I remembered. But here was a little pump that plugged into the car’s front or rear lighter socket and I could simply top up the pressure, if required, at home.

So that initial trial with a borrowed machine, led me to order my own without delay.

And what a saviour it has been, often merely providing re-assurance that the tyres are at a safe pressure. But other times it has proved valuable in topping up air at times I hadn’t realised the tyres needed a little attention.

I now keep it handy, constantly in the car boot and ready for use whenever needed.
