Overnight flight...torrential thunderstorms...two hours sitting in the plane on the tarmac...further delay because our route lay along the path of the storm...second thunderstorm...scary turbulence over the pond...no sleep, no cuppa, late dinner....sudden landing abort due to bird strike on departing plane in Dublin.... thirty minutes to get connection and we were circling....twenty minutes sitting in the plane on the tarmac because another plane was in our gate....most passengers missed their connections much more exotic than our Leeds Bradford...later flight to Manchester....taxi to Leeds Bradford paid by airline....no luggage at Leeds.....still no luggage....eyes on matchstalks....soon to bed.
However we have our memories of grizzly bears mooching through their backyard....prairie dogs shouting, 'Alan! Alan!' (sorry English joke!); thrilling landscapes; wide open spaces; stampeding munching bison; Rob surprise selfies; great coffee and not so great coffee; time with the kids; comfortable airbnbs; a lone wolf on the hillside; huge mountains and, did I say, time with the kids?
And more bears...
