Newcastle Station

“The train now arriving at Platform 2 is the late arrival train to . . . “ - three times was this announcement made and I was only there 20 minutes. 

Virgin Rail – thank goodness someone has seen sense and brought the line back into public control. But they haven’t ‘nationalised’ it apparently!! This was a very successful line . . . until it was put into private hands, then it became a ‘failure’. Funny that! 

(My train to Carlisle was on time - not Virgin!)

Tomorrow – another train and another city.
