I just can't resist them!

Still searching for cygnets .... no joy today but I couldn't see the female swan on the island so perhaps the eggs have hatched and mum has moved her babes to a safer part of the island. I will check again tomorrow if I have time.

Meanwhile the gosling population is growing both in numbers and size. The oldest group can no longer snuggle together under mum's wings so when not on the move they tend make their own wee huddles. This little group belong to a pair of Canada Geese.

After I had disturbed them it was time for a walkabout. All those goslings in the extra shot don't belong to those two adults .... the youngsters just form themselves into a nursery and follow any adult of their own group.
