Aquilegia - Columbine - Granny Bonnet
Not so bright today and the sun was too tired to get up - nevertheless the washing dried in the wind and needs no ironing. KG was digging out a plant that was past its best and will put the final wall in and then the bed will be replanted.
My blip today is of the Aquilegia - which I always knew as Granny Bonnet - I love these little flowers but they do spread. KG is not a fan and gets rid of them before they seed. I brought mine inside as it was too windy to get a good picture. I took it using the pop art filter on my camera and really liked the way it brought the colour out.
When looking up the spelling of Aquilegia I found out that they are part of the buttercup family along with many other of our familiar plants
So as you can see I have not achieved a lot today but have enjoyed my day.
The sun did make a brief appearance this afternoon
