Helvellyn For A Sunbeam

On my way to work this morning I stopped at the bottom of Skiddaw and walked out onto the foothill overlooking Derwent water and the valley towards Penrith. The weather was pretty bitter and by the time I reached the top there was little direct sunlight left, just this ray moving through Naddel Valley in front of Helvellyn and the neighboring giants. Sometimes your efforts don't pay off as much as you'd hope and as well as that you're late for work, I'm not a morning person but I will persist.
