Wide Wednesday Water
Returning from Sydney today I told Mr isbi I needed to find some water for BobsBlips Wide Wednesday challenge.
So we stopped at Beckett's stamping ground for a shot of the Mighty Nepean River.
While there we mused over the construction of the new pedestrian/cycle bridge further upstream. At a cost of $49 million you would think they could make do with the existing 3 bridges.
PS. I am in some domestic trouble for not pointing out that the bridge on the left opened in 1867 and is part of John Whitton's engineering masterpiece, the rail crossing of the Blue Mountains.
It is now used as a road bridge.
The bridge on the right, opened in 1907, is its replacement and carries the double track railway :-)
