Poet Laureate

Kim Stafford named Oregon Poet Laureate...WHAT???!!!! That is so cool, my mentor and friend. Kim is so deserving, for all he’s done for writing in Oregon and across the West. So, this picture: It’s my computer with the press about Kim’s story today; a book of his he sent to me that he wrote after the dark days of the last election, along with his hand note: “Don - No need to respond. Enjoy. Kim”. Kim has been the greatest teacher I have had, and I am really happy for him. Oregon Poet Laureate...that has a nice ring to it.
