Mother’s Day in Oxford
Lovely to be back in England again and with friends David and Eileen (aka RachelWhyNot)! But sadly we didn’t bring the nice weather from the Netherlands as it’s rained continuously after we arrived yesterday.
We’ve relaxed and recovered from the hectic, fun days in Amsterdam.
Today was our visit Oxford so I could be with the boys for Mother’s Day.
We met Ben at Victoria Station and took the coach to Oxford. All very easy and pleasant, on a lovely sunny day.
And I was so happy to see Jon again in his own environment. He said it was too weird to see us (his parents) in Oxford :).
We had lunch at a roof top restaurant where this pic was taken. Wonderful views of Oxford from here.
Then to check out his house. Quite nice but it is student accommodation for sure. Wish I could have got in there and given it a good clean. His room thankfully was very neat and tidy, and his flatmates say that it usually is, phew!
Then we explored Oxford City Centre (along with his flatmates) and killed some time before dinner and our goodbyes.
Martin took the train to Birmingham for the next bit of the conference and I headed back to London with Ben.
Thrilled to have been able to spend the day with them and for Martin to see Oxford. We’d never been there when we lived in the Uk all those years ago!
