Iris

Our first purple iris is out today, the brown ones aren't far behind and the peony buds are bursting into life.
It's wonderful how quickly the garden comes to life once it gets going. I spent a few hours on my hands and knees again this afternoon, long may the sunshine last.
I had a less successful visit to the dentist this morning having trekked all the way across town, only to be told, by the person who I had thought was my new dentist, "I'll put a note on your file for your new dentist to keep an eye on it at your next check up" Grrrrr.
It had taken me ages to get there - Leith Street is having another set of works done and so York Place is down to one lane going east and Leith Street is down to one lane thing North as you turn down towards Leith Walk from Picardy Place.
Avoid it off you can. I went back another way.
