International Nurses Day

Today is the AGM of our Nurses League in Worcester, very appropriate that it falls on the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
 
Our long serving President is retiring from post and was presented with a rose bush named Florence Nightingale, which will be potted up and sit on her patio.
 
She was also presented with a book of photos taken during her nursing career and as a member of the league. I was proud to see that many of the photos were ones that I have taken over the years at our AGMs.
 
This lady, Miss B, is certainly a character. I have added a second picture is extras showing how happy she was and a link to earlier meeting when we had a primitive sound system. I love this photo but she hates it so it wasn’t included in the album.
