Blinded by the light

MONDAY

Lady Justice by sculptor FW Pomeroy on the dome of the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey).

Traditionally Lady Justice wears a blindfold to show impartiality, however Pomeroy's figure is not blindfolded as her maidenly form is supposed to guarantee her impartiality and render her blindfold redundant.
