I went out into the garden to take a photo just like this. I have an Olympus OM manual 50mm f1.8 lens which I thought would give pleasingly shallow depth of field. And it did.

Not only that but Rob Mitchell liked it as well giving it 20 points in our club competition.

And also chuffed that my images entered into our inter-club competition with Aberystwyth did well.
