Monte Solaro

The group traveled by boat to the island of Capri today.  We were supposed to take a special wooden boat, but the bay was choppy so we took the large ferry.  Even at that, several passengers weren't feeling so well and the crew made repeated rounds handing out those special purpose bags.  Fortunately, we all weathered the ride well and were ready for our hike.  With the help of our two guides we all made it to the top of Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island.  As you can see, some needed some help.  That's my husband, Bill, leading up the rear.  I have to say, this trip, lead by Backroads, has exceeded all of our expectations.  The food has been marvelous, and the hiking will hopefully at least make a dent in our calorie totals.  We stay on Capri tomorrow, so we'll see what adventure that brings.  I have also included a photo of a wildflower with a bee.  I can't seem to stay away from wildlife.
