A Day in Wales.
This morning dawned with blue skies and sunshine, ideal for a day out. So, we drove to Wales for the day, stopping at the Severn Bridge services to eat the bacon sandwiches we had prepared before leaving. Then, our first stop was Chepstow Castle, a truly splendid castle. In one of the extras is a closeup of one of the castle doors, it is 800 years old! We then went through the small village of Aber and followed the course of the Tally Bont on Usk reservoir and then stopping to walk. Our walk featured several waterfalls and was particularly poignant for me as it was here that we had so many lovely family holidays as we were growing up. So, although tinged with a little sadness it was still a fantastic day out.
