Tui in Puriri tree

While bringing in the washing this afternoon I heard a Tui in the next door neighbour's Puriri tree. He was hidden a bit by the branches but managed to get one with his throat feathers lit by the sun. Also had a try at some night sky shots this evening. Not too much light pollution considering we're in the middle of NZ's largest city. The extra shows the Southern Cross and some of the surrounding Milky Way.
