Threading

Unearthed my mum's vintage sewing machine today, in order to do some stitching (all long straight seams, nothing too challenging). There's always a moment of trepidation - will I be able to correctly set up the threading round all those complicated widgets? And when I find I can, eventually I reach a stage where the bottom bobbin runs out and I have to remember how to thread up the re-spooling set-up. Found the original receipt for the machine, from a shop in Basingstoke - first thing my mum ever bought on hire purchase, I believe. Its list price was £29:15:06 (that's 29 pounds, 15 shillings and sixpence) - seems quite expensive for 1960. Gosh, it's even older than DaveH. Still in perfect working order, though. ;-)
