The River at Dawn....

The river crossing at the Omaka Ford is still passable after heavy rain at the weekend. Extra water in the river covered over all three Stepping Stones sites. However Maisie and I crossed the river at the Omaka Ford, walked up the true left bank and crossed the raging waters via the Meadowbank Station Bridge. We returned via a vineyard on the true right bank and thus back to the regular tracks. A longer walk than usual. It was cloudy with very little sun today.
