Dairy Farm Field Trip

We are part of a co-op that buys milk raw from a dairy a bit less then 2 hours from where we live. I have wanted to go out there and visit the dairy for a while now, (I would LOVE to live and work on a dairy farm), so for me this was an exciting field trip. It was a beautiful day, warm but not too warm, blue skies, the grass is still a bit green - sigh - I wish I could have stayed all afternoon :0)
But alas, my family wanted to come home after the tour - party poopers!

The adorable little black calf in the picture was the friendliest calf I have ever met...she was so happy to snuggle up to you and let you pet her, and she couldn't wait to nibble your clothes and suck on your fingers. My hubby and I would have put her in the car and taken her home if he could've persuaded the lady to sell her :0)
