Mother's Day

A few folks seemed extra agitated at the facility today, but all was quiet in my mom's room: I found my mom and her roommate both asleep in their beds. When my mom saw me she said was ready to go, so I got her into some cooler clothes and off we went on a sun/shade walk. Around where I took this photo she said, "I love green."

Back at the facility, the same folks were still agitated, so my mom and I walked around a bit then sat in on a "meditation" session: soothing music, fake candles, the staff member brushing residents' hair. My mom said, "I like it here because everyone is quiet."  Well, not always! But in that space, yes.
