Mother's Day

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! We enjoyed warmest Mother's Day in recorded history, and there may be even warmer days ahead.

My family pampered me all day! I got pancakes in the morning, later we had a lunch with grandmother and grandfather at our balcony. Then dessert at their house and in the evening a visit to my parents. 

White and yellow wood anemones are blooming in our garden, flowers are growing fast now. 

Finland's representative to the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, Saara Aalto and her song "Monsters" failed to impress Europe yesterday, coming in second to last in the final vote. Historically Finland has rarely done well at the Eurovision Song Contest and has only won the longest-running annual international TV song competition once.
