Allium

I’ve been playing with a new camera that my brother brought with him (he’s just upgraded).  It’s an Olympus Tough and it’s shockproof and waterproof down to 50 feet (15m).  I’m not terribly sure that I’ll ever really get around to testing its waterproof qualities but the close-up feature is interesting to explore.  It was a little too bright when I was walking around the garden, camera in hand, so I probably need a less bright day and a tripod to do it justice.  Our alliums are emerging into the sunshine and this image seemed to be the best of the ones I’ve just taken.

We’re here, waiting for my brothers bag to be brought from the airport, which could be anytime between 1703 and 1903 according to the text message.  Why not between 5pm and 7pm?  

It’s been a beautiful day and after our Sunday lunch out I spent a couple of hours tidying the front garden, though I’ve still plenty to do.
