Baby Brother

This handsome chap is my youngest brother, Pete, who is 19 and a journalist.

Today he was on unpacking duty, as my grandparents moved into a new house this afternoon. He helped organise the kitchen, and sorted out the garage, and hauled boxes and furniture about...he was marvellous.

When my grandparents moved back to the area last year, we were horrified to find that Grandma had moved with THIRTY-SEVEN empty glass jars. She insisted at the time that she needed all of them for making marmalade. She only makes six jars a year...We have slowly prised them away from her, and finally convinced her to move this time with just ten (there were sixteen, in actual fact).

Anyway, in the above picture, Peter is holding this move's horrifying thing: an empty peanut packet! They carefully packed up actual rubbish!! We also found some pepper that was nearly older than Peter himself (!) and a pair of faux fur mittens my mum had when she was sixteen....Grandma is a bit of a hoarder....

We finished the day off with a takeaway - an incredibly rare treat! Yum yum!
