One of my favourites!

I really should always cook more onions than I need, as I usually end up eating so many while they melt!  Delicious!  Sometimes when I'm not sure what to make, I just start off with onions and go from there!  Oily and garlicky, yum!

An early start when neighbour's daughter in law woke us at 5.45am to say her m-i-l had fallen out of bed.  She and the son had been phoned, but they couldn't lift her, so they needed Mike!

He has helped get the husband off the floor before now, but it is really a job for the professionals as she is a large lady with medical problems.  While Mike got dressed I phoned for an ambulance.  The ambulance folk know the couple well and were there within the hour and go her up, using wonderful inflatable cushions.  

As a result of the early start, we both ended up having a doze in the sitting room after lunch!  Like old people . . . !
