Dome of St.Paul's Cathedral

Karen, Jake and I went to the top of the dome.

It's somewhere I hadn't visited for some time but a story about my Grandfather Fred has always been with me.

Many years ago in the '40s and '50s my Grandfather worked at a steel foundary Brown Baileys in Sheffield, and his job wad to work the massive Forge hammer. He had the job of personally making replacement chain links that hold St.Pauls Dome to the buttresses. And they are the ones in situ to this very day holding the dome in place.
