Pupil Press Conference

Pupils from P4 St Fillan's PS, Renfrewshire; P5 Elmvale PS, Glasgow; P7 Kilbowie PS, West Dunbartonshire; S2 John Paul Academy, Glasgow; S3 St Andrew's Secondary, Glasgow and S6 Hillhead HS, Glasgow came to the Mitchell today to represent all the schools taking part.

Press photographers, journalists and a BBC crew shared the pupils delight as they 'tried out' Wyllie sculptures, rather than just look at them.

The press conference was in advanced of this evening's official opening, hosted by the Depute Lord Provost of Glasgow, in which the First Minister, Alex Salmond opened both the exhibition and the Boat Shed which houses all the pupil boats.

The pupils from the six schools did an excellence job of representing all the other schools.

The TESS journalist asked me what I was most proud of in this initiative.

Didn't even have to think about it... the pupils and their teachers!
