Tulip inspection

Carl's looking for a new place to live. Somewhere a big bigger, but not too far from where he is now. It's been a frustrating exercise going to viewings, dealing with generally disinterested and unhelpful estate agents, wondering how so much money could be asked with a straight face …

But then, at last, something turned up. He went to a viewing a couple of days ago and we returned together today. This could be it. Lots of boxes ticked, and at a sensible asking price. Fingers crossed.

After the viewing we retired to Fallon & Byrne in the People's Park for a bite to eat and to go through the pros and cons. It was actually a nice day, and the tulip display outside F & B's was impressive (even for someone like me who isn't a great tulip fan). The guy in the mobility scooter was none too interested, though.
