Sunny day in Southport

A lovely day with flamingo pedalos, picnics, 2p slot machines, ice cream, flying kites on the beach and running around in underpants getting soaked! The last time we were in Southport though was visiting my Grandad who was on veterans holiday with the British Legion about 4 years ago! His favourite place to go was a cafe with live singers on all day - proper karaoke style cheeseball stuff! We mocked him a lot whilst we sat and had a brew with him and listened to them! Today I absolutely sobbed my heart out unexpectedly listening to these singers (you can’t avoid them) and wished more than anything that he had been sat there singing along and having a great time.
