Spent the morning out in the front garden. Warm! A friend from down south sent a photo during that hot spell of a bench in a shady part of their garden, but I told her that up here, we sit out IN the sun! No shade for us. But actually, today, it was too hot. Archie wanted to try on my new sunnies.

We took delivery of a new bench. This one is more sturdy.JR thought we should get a handy man to do it, but it only needed six screws and took about 20 minutes.

Elizabeth took Archie out for the day, so the sofa covers were washed. I took Rufus out for a walk dander while JR went shopping. It was quite hot, and suddenly Rufus refused to walk any further. So we had to turn around and go home.

We spent the afternoon in the sun in the back garden. The wee girl next door loves Rufus. And actually, when Archie came back, he ran over to them (they were barbecuing by this time) and didn’t bark! we had a barbecue too, with two dogs watching carefully.
