breakfast...

This skylark posed on the wall beautifully this morning. It had just caught breakfast, maybe for a chick.

My extra is a bird I was very glad to see today. Last year I watched a curlew all summer that had a broken leg. It seems as if it's survived. Or at least I think it's the same one... same field, same leg and so on.
