A Quick Chat

My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,

I was up at 6am this morning. That's not really news. I'm up at 6am every morning because I'm an early-to-bed-early-to-rise sorta guy and also oh yes - 

MEEEEEEYOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!

That's right Jasper, yes, thank you for reminding me that it is the CRACK OF EFFING DAWN. 

So I got up and watched tv for a few hours. At 10:30am, Er Indoors poked her head around the door to say she was going to have a quick chat with Nadia.

Nadia is one of Er Indoors's best friends in Edinburgh. But she has an "Essex Giwl" accent and says things like, "Yew make me doiii!" when you say something funny.

I know that Er Indoors and Nadia can really get into it when they chat. So I made her a coffee then sat down to watch "Seven Psychopaths" which I quite liked. It wasn't AS good as "Three Billboards" or "In Bruges" but there were still some very funny moments.

But wait... what's that noise? 

...blah blah blah blah yak yak yak muffled laughter...

It's Er Indoors. Still on the phone.

Okay, I'm going to watch "Madagascar". Not the cartoon with Ben Stiller. The one with with David Attenborough. That isn't a cartoon. I'm serious and not lying. Not a cartoon. 

Right. Now that's finished.

....chatty chat chat laugh laugh oh I know I'm SO incredibly lucky to have SUCH a handsome, caring and intellectually brilliant husband blah blah... 

Oooookay. I guess I can listen to a podcast about the Congress of Vienna. For ten minutes and then fall asleep. 

Jasper snuggled up next to me on the couch and we snoozed together for an hour. Mmmmmaybe 90 minutes. 

Long story short, Er Indoors finished talking at 4:30!!

"Poor bloody Nadia," I said, "she must be exhausted!"

Er Indoors said that Nadia loved it. "It's bin loik staying up orl noight wiv me bestie!"* 

So now it is the evening. I am wide awake from a late afternoon nap, Er Indoors is asking for breakfast/lunch and god knows what time Nadia finks it is.
