Trillium Thrills

The Trillium is Ontario's provincial flower so law forbids you from picking them.  However, in May for a brief period, there is a beautiful carpet of Trillium in some wooded areas. I look forward to the Trillium and the hunt for the elusive maroon variety as they are rare (1 in 10,000).  This evening, I found two so I was quite thrilled.  : )

Today marks what would have been the 55th birthday of my dearest childhood friend who has been gone 37 years now. I miss her still.
