Been to see Lanercost Priory (and testing the amazing tea room) before visiting Hadrian’s Hall inc. Birdoswald Roman Fort.

This part of Cumbria may not be as well known as the Lake District, but it is definitely a hidden gem worth visiting, only two hours drive from Edinburgh too.
