Tracks

This old station (Birkhill near Bo'ness) used to serve a clay mine. Now it's the end of the track for a heritage railway. Last time I came here it was on a train dressed up like Thomas the Tank engine. All shut for the winter now... it's an eerie spot.

The clay mine used to be open to the public but was a victim of council cuts a few years ago. There's a flimsy barricade at the top of the steps, so I might venture down one lunchtime for a look. No time in my lunch hour today and I had light brown chinos on.. everything was a bit grubby!
