Stanley to Ballathie railway line
We planned to walk above Dunkeld, but a short way up the A9 joined a long queue of traffic. A quick change of plan, and we turned off, parked in Stanley and walked along the disused railway line to Ballathie and back.
We must have seen at least half a dozen yellowhammers at intervals along the line. It must really suit them there. (Or perhaps just one was following us!) Nice to see cowslips out too.
Sadly, I had left image stabilisation turned off on my camera after last week's workshop. I didn't realise how much I rely on it, and many of my photos taken while walking weren't sharp.
