Colonel Gardiner's Monument
I felt I had to get into work early today, having only managed half a day so far this week. BB was still asleep, but managed to mutter to me that he was fine, before I left for the bus. TT was in charge! BB had a busy day ahead of him – a science transition day for high school and he was really looking forward to it.
I had so much to catch up on at work, but didn’t seem to make any inroads into it, as new issues seemed to come my way. I will start afresh on Monday. I only just made my train tonight. The guard saw me running along the platform and very kindly let me on.
BB had football training again tonight. He went with strict instructions to drink plenty of water - which he did. It was a really lovely evening, so I went for a walk – and was rather overdressed for the weather.
This is the monument to Colonel Gardiner who died at the battle of Prestonpans in 1745. The extra shows his house which I also blipped a while ago, when the trees were bare.
