Young grey seal

I think the local grey seals are just pupping around now so I am not sure that this is this year's pup or last year's. I'll have to seek advice on that. It was on the shore just below the path as I started up the path of Marwick Head from The Choin. It didn't seem too bothered by my photographing it. I think it looks a bit guilty as if it had been scrumping apples. Not very likely as there are no orchards nearby.
I started at The Loons hide. There were lots of snipe, curlew, lapwings, a couple of hen harriers and an enormous flock of golden plover, at least five hundred, catching the sunlight as they wheeled above the marsh.

A couple more shots here.
