Forever Blowing Bubbles
I spent the morning with mum sorting a few things out, including booking our airport transfers for our trip to Prague in two weeks time, I can't believe it's so soon, the time seems to have crept up on us.
I also received a message from Debbie, my old school friend asking if I'd have time to pop in for a catch up. As she only lives round the corner from mum's I said I'd stop off my way to pick Scarlett up from school, and when I got there she'd made a lovely salad with salmon. We only had an hour but it was nice to see her and she said she was pleased I'd been able to go.
I had to be at school by 3.25pm and it's about an hours' drive, so I left at 1.45pm as I needed to stop off at Rachel's office to pick up the car seat. There were so many roadworks though that I was worried I'd make it in time, but I did and even had time to spare.
Scarlett and I went to see Alan's mum and dad and spent a nice hour with them and I've come away with a tub a Lily of the Valley and also a bird box with a camera fitted inside. It's probably too late for anything to nest in it this year, but Alan can fit it ready for next year. I called at Sainsbury's on the way home to pick up a few things and treated the girls to a magazine each and when we got back to Rachel's, everyone else was home and when Violet saw me she put her arms out and gave me a big hug :-) She was thrilled with her Peppa Pig comic as it came with a bottle of bubbles and a set of 4 blowers, so as soon as they'd finished their dinner, they both went out in the garden to play with them.
I've had a nice night catching up with Rach, and now it's time for bed as no doubt I'll be awake quite early in the morning!
