Lending a helping paw

EDIT: I'm as daft as the baby bird. No wonder 'Daddy' Dunnock was ignoring the youngster's pleas for food; the baby was asking the wrong adult - it's a baby ROBIN! That must be what Vole was trying to tell him.

So the following account should be read with this in mind!

This morning, Daddy Dunnock was less attentive to his youngster than was Pa Blackbird, yesterday - he's a soft touch! It was tough love for Baby Dunnock, who eventually had a peck around, trying to fend for himself. Vole popped his head out the door to offer encouragement.

The photo came out all one tone, camouflaging both vole and dunnock, so I've done some colour-popping to try and make the little creatures more visible. Also added an Extra of the baby dunnock on his own that has a better clarity, if less novelty than mammal-meets-bird.

Busy day today, culminating in Line Dancing, so rather late posting. Nearly time for zzzzzz... (I hope)!
