Erythronium
Back to normal now and desperately seeking a blip in the garden!
The little clump of erythronium dens-canis Pagoda has developed from some seed sown 35 years ago when we moved into the house, along with the nearby frittilaria meleagris . Nice to find them both in flower when we got back, even if they are past their best.
A night out for drinks with The Bro-in-Law exchanging stories about what we'd all been doing. The Boys were disgruntled because the hotel is undergoing refurbishment and the temporary bar had no draught Guinness. They turned down the bottled variety and drank beer. My tonic water was unaffected by the turmoil.
Upsetting news that a lovely friend had died while we were away. We will join the family for the funeral on Friday.
BTW, when I looked back at my erythronium shot of 2010, it was done on the day of the Blipfoto Scotland At Play Awards . Anyone remember that and the live streaming to our computers? The event for us at home started off a bit flat without much response to our on screen chat. As the evening went on fellow blippers lost their inhibitions and came to the screen
