The day after the day before....

..has been a very restful one, in that, even though it has been a Bank Holiday,  we didn't go out. 

With friends arriving on Saturday and staying a week, there was plenty to do in preparation. None of it onerous, and hopefully welcoming. It will be great to have them with us. 

And it being another beautiful day, we ate in the garden and then I took my lounger into the shade to do some reading.....fatal..zzzz.

My patio garden got a spruce up, the table and chairs re-instated and its set for coffees in the outdoors. Everything seems to have survives the winter. The holly tree has kept its berries. 

D cut the grass and put away the log fire log baskets and weeded the borders. I can't quite see what he achieved behind the trellis at the bottom of the garden though......
