Wound up in Wexford

Bluebells

High Ash Farm opened the bluebell woods last weekend.  We got an email about it whilst away in New Zealand, and I responded, asking if we could visit later in the week, as we would otherwise miss it.

Daniel replied that we could.  Today having started dull, it subsequently brightened up, though much cooler than the last few days.  W managed to finish the mowing whilst I tackled some of the ironing, and we then decided that, as the forecast for the weekend is for rain, we should walk down to visit the bluebells.  When I contacted Daniel to tell him, he replied that they were really past their best, and the nettles are taking over.

He was right - those who visited in the glorious sunshine last weekend will have had a better experience.  But still there were some good drifts of blue - and the exercise was good for us.

Afterwards, we spent some time planning our next holiday - a long weekend in North Yorkshire, visiting Harlow Carr Gardens and York, amongst other delights.
